Dogs, and other domestic pets, can join you in the patrol vehicle if they are secured and the attending breakdown mechanic thinks that it is safe to transport the animal.

If larger animals, such as horses or sheep, have to be transported then alterative, specialised equipment will have to be arranged for additional cost at the customer's expense.
 

Our roadside mechanics aims to fix a customer’s vehicle at the roadside and get them back on the road as quickly as possible.

If a customer has a puncture, but the tyre can be repaired, they’ll attempt to do this at the roadside. If the tyre is unrepairable but the customer has a spare, they’ll change the wheel at the side of the road. 

Because some vehicles don’t carry a spare tyre these days, our mechanics can also provide you with a universal wheel as a temporary fix to get you mobile again. 

Universal tyres are supposed to be a short measure until the driver can get a permanent replacement. 

Depending on the time of day, the patrol vehicle will either follow you to a nearest garage (if within working hours), or home (if outside working hours) to make sure you reach your destination safely.
 

Yes, if you have European breakdown cover on your main policy then it will automatically provide cover for the additional time you extend it by on your main policy.
