Tŷ Hafan is a leading Welsh children's charity which provides comfort, care and support to children with life-limiting conditions, along with their families. Through our vibrant hospice and diverse community programmes, we offer families short-break care and help them make the most of the time they have together, creating precious memories and ensuring a short life is a full life.
Tŷ Hafan, like many charities, have found themselves in urgent need of support following the impact of COVID-19, with the children's hospice forecasting a significant drop in income due to Coronavirus restrictions. With only 6% of its annual funding coming from the government, Tŷ Hafan relies on the generosity of the public to carry out its vital services.
“It's been a trying time for Tŷ Hafan due to the pandemic as much of our planned fundraising activity has come to a halt. That said, we've been astounded by the level of support from businesses and individuals across the country who have continued to support us through this difficult time.
“All of us at Tŷ Hafan would like to say a huge thank you to Admiral. At the start of 2020 we embarked on a much needed campaign to refurbish our 20-year-old hospice, which has continued to go ahead despite the pandemic and lack of income. The funds donated support the refurb project, helping us to make Tŷ Hafan 'fit for the future' and ensure we're there for our families in years to come.”
